Trail Overview
This is a non-maintained sandy road that connects directly to the main route and provides an easy way into the surrounding forest. The surface is mostly compact sand with a few ruts. The loose sand adds a little challenge; a 4x4 is not necessarily required in good conditions, and most vehicles with reasonable ground clearance should be able to manage the route. The trail passes through an area where firewood cutting is permitted, so visitors should follow any posted regulations and stay within designated areas. Farther along, the route intersects another trail before continuing onto what appears to be a decommissioned road. Despite its designation, the road shows signs of continued vehicle use and appears to receive fairly regular traffic. ATVs, UTVs, Side-by-Sides, and Dirt Bikes must always have a valid Oregon ATV Operating Permit sticker.
Difficulty
Overall, this is an easy, straightforward sandy route with only minor ruts and a few changes in terrain.
