Trail Overview
FS 2200-080 starts at the turnoff for Maxwell Sno-Park on Highway 22 and follows a mellow, winding forest road past the Maxwell Butte Trailhead to the Park Loop Trailhead. The route features a few gentle curves and climbs steadily—rising from approximately 1,127 meters to 1,197 meters in elevation—but contains no significant obstacles or steep hills. Currently, there are no signs marking the Park Loop at the end of the trail. This is a multi-use area shared by off-road vehicles, horses, and pedestrians. Several trails branch off along the route, but the main trail is easy to follow and remains the dominant path throughout the ride. The staging area at the start includes a paved parking lot with a concrete vault toilet, and a trail register/information kiosk is available at the Maxwell Butte Trailhead.
Difficulty
This trail earns a 1 due to its wide, well-maintained gravel surface and lack of any obstacles. The road is smooth, easy to navigate, and wide enough to comfortably accommodate passing vehicles. It is accessible for practically any vehicle type.
