Trail Overview

This is a dirt-based forest road that runs 5 miles through the National Forest, then dead ends at a private property boundary. The trail is relatively flat, but has minor ruts and wash, some rock garden sections, and potholes. The trail passes by Cougar Rock, which offers rock formation views to go along with the forest views you will have. Camping is allowed along this entire trail, and there are multiple pre-existing campsites. At the beginning of this trail, there is kiosk signage and an area to air your tires up and down. There are multiple split-off trails to explore; however, there are no amenities and cell phone service is weak on the trail. The nearest services and supplies are approximately 10 minutes from the start of this trail in the town of Sisters, Oregon.
