FS 1190-500

This is a gravel-based forest road that is narrow and one vehicle wide with places to pass. There are some areas of two-track along the trail. The trail has some washboard, and after rain there will be three mud holes, but any vehicle type could traverse this trail. The trail ends at a locked gate, but there is a nice campsite near the end. You will have good views into the high desert and of the plateaus and ridges around you. Cell phone service was decent enough to send a message or place a call, but there are no amenities along the trail. The nearest services can be found in the town of Sisters, approximately 40 minutes away.
