FS 1170400

This is a dirt based forest road that is narrow with places to pass. The trail travels through a pine forest that has open meadows that are boulder fields. There are several humps/whoops along the trail as well as rock garden in some areas and some large boulders sticking out of the ground up to a foot. Overall, this is an easy trail that is suitable for any vehicle type. This trail is closed to motor vehicles from December 1st-March 31st. The trail ends in a massive loop campsite with multiple fire rings and a meadow view. There is no cell phone service or amenities along the trail, and the nearest services are approximately 45 minutes in Sisters to the east or Madras to the west.
