FS 1140-500

This is a narrow, dirt-based forest road that is one vehicle wide with places to pass. The trail connects FS 1140 and 1150, and is suitable for any vehicle type. The trail is lined with overgrown vegetation and tight trees, so expect to pick up a pinstripe or two, especially if in a full-size vehicle. There are lots of humps/whoops to navigate through, and camping is available along this entire trail, but this one is so overgrown it may be best left for smaller powersport vehicles. There are no amenities, and cell phone service is weak, so travel prepared, as the nearest services and supplies are located in Sisters, Oregon, approximately 40 minutes away.
