Fourmile Butte - FS 1000-600

This is a dirt-based forest road that climbs to the top of Fourmile Butte. The trail starts off wide with some loose rock climbs, and there are ruts and washouts up to a foot deep. As you crest the top, you will begin to descend a little, and the trail narrows to one lane wide with places to pass. There are multiple split-off trails you can explore, and camping is allowed along this trail. Cell phone service was weak but enough to send out messages or make a call. There are no amenities on the trail, and the nearest services are approximately 10 minutes away in the town of Sisters down Highway 242. Any vehicle type could traverse this trail.
