Trail Overview

This route takes you from Highway 26 to Flat Iron Mountain in the Clatsop State Forest. It follows easy forest roads lined with beautiful trees. Flat Iron Mountain appears to have been quarried at some point in the past. A road leads to the top, offering views of the surrounding forest. At the summit, another road heads west and dead-ends; this could make a good spot for dispersed camping. Flat Iron Mountain also serves as a great starting point for heading to Bloom Lake and then continuing farther to Lost Lake.
