Trail Overview

This trail parallels the coastline, connecting Siltcoos Day Use to South Jetty Access, with multiple links to the open-ride beach. It winds through coastal grasses and shrubs, with frequent bald eagle and wildflower sightings. The trail is narrow, though passable for oncoming traffic. Expect continuous sandy whoops and off-camber, unstable turns. Coastal weather reshapes terrain, bringing high water and deep drifts. One shallow water crossing occurs where the trail briefly meets the beach. Oregon ATV permits and flags are required. Cell service is limited. Restrooms and water are available at Driftwood Campground. Camping is limited to designated sites by reservation.
