Trail Overview

This is a dirt-based forest road in the National Forest that leads to the Cabot Lake hiking trail. The trail is narrow with room to pass, and has minor ruts and wash. The trail gradually climbs and is bumpy with a rock garden, and the higher you go, the rockier it gets, but any vehicle type could traverse this trail. The trail will dead-end at the Cabot Lake hiking trail head parking lot. Along the way, you will have views of the Three Sisters, Broken Top, Mount Jefferson, Mount Washington, Green Ridge, and Black Butte, and camping is allowed along this entire trail with many pre-existing campsites with mountain views. The cell phone service was weak on the trail but enough to send a message if needed. There are no amenities, and the nearest services and supplies are over 45 minutes from the beginning of this trail in Sisters.
