Trail Overview

Trail 55 is a one-mile route with a seasonal closure from June 1 to October 1. It features a semi-steep climb from south to north, leading to the East Butte fire lookout tower. The trail passes through an old burn area and includes several road crossings, along with whoops and small embedded rocks. While the terrain is uneven and the climb steeper than surrounding ATV trails, the smooth surface and gradual grade keep the overall difficulty easy, making it accessible for most riders.
