Trail 55 is a very easy 0.7-mile trail starting from the North Barr staging area. It's flat and winding through sagebrush and juniper, with sandy dirt, whoops, and only minimal embedded rock. The wide trail and good visibility make it ideal for beginners and kids. It makes an introductory loop with Trails 51 and 57. Expect other trail users in this area--ride slowly, especially near the staging area, and limit dust.
