Trail Overview
Trail 302 is a fun intermediate single track through the Huckleberry Flats OHV Area that is directional counterclockwise. It winds tightly through the lush and mossy forest, constantly curving through the trees. Expect typical forest elements such as ruts, mud, embedded and loose rock, and log hazards. There are several deep, muddy trenches to watch out for. It crosses a road at one point and connects to the trail again 300 yards up the road. There is a long, narrow bridge crossing that is high up, which could be intimidating for less experienced riders. The trail has some tighter sections where the branches extend into the trail, and some troughed out sections with deeper ruts. Also expect some mild side-hilling, steep climbs, descents, and roots. It winds around for about 2 miles before ending on the forest road.
Difficulty
This is an intermediate single track due to frequent moderate obstacles, including ruts, roots, hill climbs, and muddy trenches. This is rated by the forest service as Most Difficult within the trail system.
