Trail Overview
Trail 303 is a moderate difficulty single track in the Huckleberry Flats OHV Area. It makes a counter-clockwise loop, with intermediate obstacles starting right away, such as slippery roots, tight turns, muddy ruts, sudden deep trenches, and short steep climbs. It climbs steeply for the first half, with sharp, quick turns through the Douglas firs, gaining almost 900 feet of elevation. There is a small log obstacle during the ascent that riders will have to get over, and several roots across the trail during steep sections. Near the top of the climb, it starts to become covered in loose rocks. After 2 miles, it starts to descend back down for the second half of the loop, and the trail is very narrow through the lush forest. The descent is also semi-steep, with another log obstacle and many tight hairpin turns.
Difficulty
This is a moderate trail due to frequent intermediate obstacles throughout the route, including logs, deep ruts, tight turns, and mild loose rock. The main factor is that it is steep throughout the entire route, as it steeply climbs up then steeply descends back down.
