Wheeler Peak

Wheeler Peak is a tough climb that requires front and rear lockers and plenty of clearance. If entering from the top of Rock Face, you will have ledges to go down as you get to the climb to go up Wheeler Peak. If you enter from the trails below, you can skip those ledges but will still have plenty of ledges to climb on slick rock as you go up the steep incline to get up to the peak. It is a short run of only about 75 yards up, but it should only be attempted by experienced off-roaders. After you reach the peak, it is just a rough road with lots of smaller steps to get around the peak and back down to the main trails.
