Trail Overview

This route is a mix of maintained gravel roads to Level B, non-maintained gravel roads. The trail is easy when dry but has multiple flash flood warnings so we would not recommend after/during rain. We did travel into CORPS of ENGINEERS land, which was marked as a road, but it quickly became swampy and we decided to turn around. This would be a great trail for beginning off-roaders and stock vehicles.

Made the trip after a week-long rain. There were two spots that required 4wd. One spot required some clearance and was a little washed out from the rain. It was a fun and muddy ride. If it hadn’t rained a SUV could handle it.

Fun ride to go on if you’re visiting the lake. Definitely need a SUV for 2 sections that have some pretty uneven ground otherwise it’s a nice ride thru some back roads. Could be pretty muddy if there was a hard recent rain but a sprinkle could really help keep the dust down. Definitely a chill ride I’ll be sure revisit. If this is a first ride/adventure be sure to download the map as service for most carriers is poor which could be a bummer
