Trail Overview
Robin Road is another overgrown two-track trail in the area and is very similar in overall conditions to nearby Drake Road. Unlike Drake Road, Robin Road follows a relatively straight path, making navigation simple and allowing users to enjoy an easy addition to a longer afternoon of exploring the surrounding coastal North Carolina trail network. The trail does not appear to receive frequent maintenance, and thick vegetation can encroach on both sides of the track. Users should remain alert despite the relatively straightforward route, as vegetation may obscure mud holes, standing water, or softer sections of trail. These areas can become considerably deeper and more challenging following periods of heavy rain. Under dry conditions, Robin Road is generally an uncomplicated two-track, but changing weather can quickly alter conditions on these coastal trails.
Difficulty
Generally an easy trail, but users should be aware of spontaneous mudholes, especially after recent rainfall.
