North Carolina Outward Bound School Road

This trail branches off from Rich Cove Road and provides access to the North Carolina Outward Bound School, which offers experiential learning for those interested in forestry and outdoor leadership. The school features activities such as backpacking, rock climbing, and canoeing, helping participants develop skills and resilience in a natural setting. While the trail itself is short and relatively easy, it offers a unique glimpse into the opportunities provided by the Outward Bound program. Along the way, you can take in views of the surrounding forest, as well as the school's ropes course, lodges, and visitor center.
