Trail Overview
MST 4 is where the character of the surrounding trail network begins to noticeably change. The wider roads encountered earlier transition into a tighter two-track trail that appears to receive considerably less traffic. Despite being less traveled, signs of state maintenance are still present, and the trail remains relatively straightforward under normal conditions. Users should exercise additional caution following periods of wet weather, as several mud holes along the route have the potential to become deep and significantly change the difficulty of the trail. The tighter track also provides a more remote feeling as users continue exploring the state game lands. Along the way, users can enjoy wonderful views of the surrounding pine forest, making MST 4 an enjoyable progression deeper into the trail network.

This is an easy trail under dry conditions, but after wet weather, users should use caution as mud holes may be present.
