Lewis Swamp Road

Lewis Swamp Road is a wide, smooth coastal trail that provides an easy and enjoyable drive with very few challenges. The trail surface is exceptionally well maintained and free from major obstacles, washboards, or dried mud holes, allowing for a noticeably smoother ride than many of the surrounding coastal trails. Its wide roadway also provides plenty of room for vehicles to safely pass one another. The corners are broad and gradually shaped, providing good visibility and reducing the potential for unexpected head-on encounters. While the smooth surface may allow users to comfortably pick up speed, drivers should remain alert for other vehicles and changing trail conditions. Overall, Lewis Swamp Road is suitable for most vehicles and offers a fast, relaxed route through the coastal trail network.
