Doc Stiles Road - FS 436 is a narrow, low-maintenance forest service road rated 3/10 in difficulty. Overgrown tree branches and tight encroachments make it feel snug in spots, and you’ll likely encounter a few mud holes along the way. The route ends at a tight turnaround where larger vehicles may struggle to maneuver. From there, a short, easy hike through the woods brings you right to the shores of Persimmon Lake. It’s a quiet, adventurous little road best suited for those who don’t mind a few pinstripes. Closed 1/1 through 3/31.
