Trail Overview

Cold Spring Gap Road - CR 4663 is a well-maintained two-way gravel road on the northeast end and not quite as smooth on the southwest entrance, which is labeled Wolf Mountain Road - CR 4663C. There are some camping spots along this road and a few creeks. CR 4663B Dills Falls Road can be accessed along this road, and there are 2 waterfalls (Upper and Lower Dills Falls that are beautiful and worth the effort. There could be fallen trees or washouts on this road, so pay attention and, as always, adhere to the Tread Lightly principles.

Difficulty

Mostly a nice gravel road, but if entering from the southwest (Wolf Mountain Road), it could be a little rough with ruts and some rocks 12 inches or so in size.

Narrow but well maintained gravel road. Be sure to take 4663B down no to Dills Falls which is a short and easy hike. Be advised 4663C is definitely not maintained and has a few very rutted out sections where higher clearance and a spotter will come in handy.

Cap Springs Gap Road 4663 in excellent condition. Caution the going gets much more eroded and difficult when it turns into Wolf Mtn Rd 4663C.
