Trail Overview

The beginning of the trail starts off with driving on flat grass and mild rocky terrain. It quickly becomes a narrow path that cuts through heavy foliage that can be difficult to navigate with a larger full-width vehicle. There are multiple locations of rutted and off-camber obstacles that can range from 6 to 12 inches in depth. Rock faces and ledges that are approximately 12 inches in height, and some washouts that are approximately 10-12 inches in depth. The trail opens up into open fields that present scenic views of the surrounding mountains and landscape.

Difficulty

This trail has rocks approximately 10-12 inches tall, deep washouts, and off-camber sections of rutted paths. Depending on weather conditions, it could lead to muddy areas or sitting water.

I started this trail about a month ago in my jeep but had to turn back. Then we went back with the ATV's. The main entrance is obstructed but we found a side trail to gain access. Due to rain, the ruts got really deep (see pic of kid stanind in 14" rut) in one section. My stock jeep would not have made it through the ruts. The rest of the trail about 2 or 3 level with incredible views. There are some very narrow sections that would have scratched my jeep. This is definitely a high-clearnace narrow vehicle road now. It is worth the trip - some of it hasn't been driven in a long time. Beautiful mountain trees, a bit of wildlife, and views that are breathtaking.

The area is honey-combed with trails, but this not actually a trail. I did not see any tracks along this OnX route. There are trails to the left, right, and opposite directions, but not along this path. Unless my GPS is off…
