Trail Overview
While this trail is not technically challenging there are a lot of terrain changes over it's 7.5-mile length. The west end of the trail starts with dirt, packed clay, and sand in a fairly open setting before climbing up over some bare sandstone with some minor ledges to drop down through surrounding hoodoos and formations to the canyon floor. From there, the trail runs alongside one of the major washes in the area, through grazing lands, and finally some high and dry desert prairie before ending at Angel Peak Loop.

Difficulty
As always, in a desert environment, the rating of this trail is highly variable depending on precipitation. Some small ledges, shallow water, and a road width typically one vehicle-width-wide with places to pull off for passing make this a solid 2.
