Trail Overview
This trail is an out-and-back finger off of a main trail. There is a small sand gravel wash to cross at the beginning of the trail. The rest of the trail beyond is twisty and quite easy. Areas of the trail have fencing to keep vehicles from exploring off-road. The trail ends at a small campsite right on the water of Lake Mojave. There is a campsite with a fire ring. Three or four smaller vehicles could fit here, but it would be tight. There is a nice private bay, and the water is just steps from the parking area. One bar of LTE cell service pops in and out in this bay. Needing better service, walk up the trail to higher ground for a few more consistent bars. Signage in the area indicates a 17-day dispersed camping limit. Stay on trails marked with a yellow arrow. Federal regulations prohibit motor vehicles except on park roads and parking areas. Vehicles are permitted only on approved roads and only when they are properly licensed for street use. SXS, ATVs, and motorcycles plated for street use could access these trails. All other off-road driving is prohibited in this area. This area is part of the Lake Mead Recreation Area; before visiting, it's encouraged to look up and abide by all Lake Mead Rec Area rules. This area is remote, with no services. Bring extra water and supplies when traveling out to these coves, especially in the summer months. There are a few bars of cell service out at the coves.
