Walker Wassuk Ride

This trail wanders through the Wassuk Mountain Range, connecting the East Walker River to Walker Lake. Starting this route in the West at the Pitchfork Ranch, Nevada State Park, the first miles will be on a graded dirt road. Soon, you will turn East toward Walker Lake, and the trail becomes more challenging. Starting in the East from the parking area at Walker Lake, a few miles of the trail are on the old highway, but be careful. Crossing the old highway, there are two deep trenches that you will come upon suddenly if you are speeding along. Along the trail, you will encounter rocky trails, washouts, short, steep climbs, and trenches.
