Trail Overview
Suburban gets its name from an old Suburban that is abandoned in the middle of the trail. There is not much left of the old Suburban, and the canyon has started to bury it as time has moved on. The trail starts as you drop into the drainage. When you hit the bottom of the drainage, you will head right up the canyon, and that is where the fun begins. You will be presented with some 3 to 4-foot step-ups and some tight rocks sure to cause a bit of body damage if you don't navigate them correctly. When you get to the Suburban, you can either pass it on the right or drive over it, depending on how much you trust your tires on the old rusty parts. Near the top, the trail forks, and you will want to head to the right. From there, it's a pretty easy trail to get out. At the top, there is a small patch of trees, a perfect spot to get out of the sun and enjoy a snack or a cold beverage.
