Boondoggle

Usually run from bottom to top, look for the plaque on your right as soon as you turn in. The trail gets busy immediately with big rocks, a V-crack, and a quick step-up. From there, you'll fight your way through a rock garden with multiple line choices and plenty of diff hangers, followed closely by a row of large rocks cutting across the trail wrapped in loose sand. After a second rock garden, you'll face the Waterfall—the steepest and most intimidating part of the run. It changes constantly, starting filled in from winter storms and getting taller as it gets dug out during the summer dry season. Clear the Waterfall, and it's a cruise to the finish through a tight rocky drainage. The trail can be run year-round, but the springtime before it gets too hot is the most popular.
