Trail Overview

Overton Wash Exit offers an easier and more accessible way out of the wash, making it a popular choice for those looking to enjoy a more heavily trafficked route. A deep washboard chop defines this trail, adding a left-right articulation to your driving experience. Some sections are silty, while others are more loose gravel. Throughout the trail, you'll encounter small, easy ledges and transitions that keep the ride engaging. For those seeking a more challenging adventure, consider taking the Overton Wash 1 trail, which offers a more technical experience in the southern section of this loop, providing a great contrast to the easier stretches found here. Important Note: Expect only about one bar of LTE service that can fade in and out along the route, so it's advisable to download your offline maps beforehand. Always prepare adequately for your desert adventure with plenty of water and supplies on hand. Don't forget to look around once you are out of the wash; the views are breathtaking, and there is a "picture frame" in the rocks when you look out through the Overton Mesa. Can you find it?
