Trail Overview
North Crescent Road is an easy, scenic 13-mile dirt and gravel route perfect for beginners, overland rigs, and scenic cruisers looking to explore the remote desert landscapes of Lincoln County, Nevada. Running through pristine Bureau of Land Management lands, this trail passes between Monte Mountain and Mount Irish, offering spectacular views of the surrounding valleys and towering rocky peaks. With a technical rating of 1, the path is generally smooth and manageable for most stock high-clearance vehicles, four-wheel-drive rigs, and SxSs, making it an excellent option for a relaxed day of exploration. The route starts at an elevation of 5,794 feet and gently climbs to a peak of 6,454 feet, accumulating 691 feet of elevation gain along its length.
While the primary surface consists of gravel, drivers will encounter occasional sections of soft sand and loose dirt that require basic traction awareness. The valley is home to active wildlife populations, and travelers may spot pronghorn grazing in the open sagebrush plains.
