Trail Overview

Relatively open, single-track road with a mostly dirt and loose rock surface. This road has some rough patches with rutting in parts and uneven, narrow sections. The trail passes Juniper, Joshua Trees, grass, and Sage vegetation. Good chance of spotting wild horses in this area, as evidenced by the photos.

A difficulty rating of 4 is very accurate. There were some rock gardens and rock ledges, but all you need is 4 Lo and good throttle modulation. Not once did I have to use my lockers or even A-TRAC. However, nearing the end of the trail near Wallace Canyon, the trail is very over grown with desert juniper and creosote. They got me good! My entire rig is pinstriped from bumper to bumper. At certain points, the vegetation was maybe 6 feet apart, so any modern offroader would have gotten pinstriped. Ah well, that’s part of the fun.
