Trail Overview

This 20.4 mile out and back trail takes you down a wash to Oil Pan Cove on Lake Mohave. As you travel down the wash you will pass a couple of old mines. The wash is mostly open with a few narrow sections to pass through. Dispersed camping is allowed in Oil Pan Cove. The vegetation within the cove makes it difficult to reach the water. Several months of the year you can see cattle in this cove. This trail is heavily washboarded so it can be slow travel for solid axle vehicles.

This is an unmaintained sandy trail with heavy washboarding and rocks under 12 inches in height.

Basically a dirt road to a camping area. No technical challenge at all. It does not end at the river but you may be able to hike to the river from the camping area.
