Trail Overview
This unmaintained BLM road travels South along the Owyhee River Canyon, giving beautiful views of the surrounding mountain peaks. Be mindful of cows and wild horses on the trail. It crosses into private property at an old, stone ranch home with an arch and a fallen-down stable. The ranch home sits at the base of a rock wall, just north of but in sight of the Desert Ranch Reservoir, which is mostly dried up and just a mud hole. The road has minor washes and ruts under a foot deep, and the occasional silt mud hole. Any vehicle could traverse this trail.
