Trail Overview

The trail to the Color Rock Quarry is an easy dirt road. The trail takes you into the Muddy Mountains Wilderness Area where you can see awesome sandstone and red rock formations. The area also has primitive camping sites and several short hikes to see ancient petroglyphs. The trail is a dirt gravel road suitable for any high-clearance SUV or 4x4.
