Trail Overview

Hart Bench Loop is a really fun and easy trail. This trail has lots to look at along the way. There are great views of the surrounding mountains, the valley, and the houses down below. The trail is mostly sand with short stretches of dirt. On the south end of the trail, there are a fair amount of ruts from runoff to avoid. On the north end, there are some patches of potholes to watch out for, as it's fairly easy to get cruising down this trail. Also, watch for sharp turns and blind corners; there are quite a few of them on the northern half of the trail. After a good rain, this trail gets muddy and slick in spots, so be careful if it's wet. This trail is mostly two vehicles wide, so there shouldn't be much issue passing oncoming vehicles.

Difficulty

This trail is pretty easy to ride or drive for any 4x4 vehicle. You could take a 2x4 as well, but don't attempt it if it's been raining a lot or just after snowmelt. There are no obstacles or water crossings on this trail. There are some sections that are decent ledges but the road is plenty wide for the most part.
