Trail Overview
Bishop Park ATV trail is almost 7 miles long running north to south through the Gallatin National Forest. The north end starts on Miles Creek Road, and it ends at the intersection with the Jackson Creek ATV Loop. The majority is a very easy and wide two-track on smooth dirt. It gradually climbs up from either trailhead, going through wide open meadows, and at the bottom of grassy hills, fast and flowy. It's pretty smooth, but there are small pieces of embedded rock at times. It has small features like shallow ruts, big rollers, and whoops. It goes through a couple of metal pinch points and parallels a segment of the Bangtail Divide single track. You get wide views of the valley and the Bangtail Mountains. This is the only ATV trail in the system that is open later than 10/14, as it is open from 6/16 until 12/1.
Difficulty
This is an easy ATV trail. Although almost 7 miles long, it is easy the entire route, with only a few rockier sections, ruts, and whoops, all of which are navigable by beginner riders.
