Trail Overview

This is a very short down-and-back trail that ends at a scenic Firetower and overlook. The Trail is very narrow and has some sandy hill climbs along with rocky washouts. The trail to the overlook is a sandy climb through the thick vegetation. Once you are approaching the end, the view opens up, and you can overlook the Smokey Hills State Forest and its various trees, ponds, and lakes. At the top of the trail, there is an old cell tower and Firetower that is not climbable. There is a small area to park at the top to make a great lunch stop in the shade. Depending on weather and time of year, this trail could add some difficulty with the multiple washouts and sandy hills to climb.
