Bemis Hills Forest Road

This scenic trail has a well-maintained gravel surface and alternates between sections that are wide enough for two vehicles and narrower stretches suited to a single vehicle. It winds through forested terrain with a mix of ascents and descents, and numerous side trails branch off from the main route. Partway along, it passes a man-made lake area surrounded by large clearings. Trails on either side of the main route lead to the water, where there are spots suitable for dispersed camping. The trail eventually ends at a T-junction with Bemis Grade Road. From this junction, the route to the right is overgrown, the trail straight ahead continues as a narrow, shaded single-vehicle track through forest, and the trail to the left is well-maintained gravel leading toward farmland and, eventually, a paved road. The main trail does not provide formal campsites and lacks amenities such as trash disposal and a water supply. Cell service may be limited.
