Trail Overview

This trail begins near the town of Remer, which is notable for having a well-regarded butchery, and stretches for a considerable distance through a mix of wooded terrain. The road itself is wide and well-maintained in many sections, easily accommodating two vehicles, though it narrows to single-vehicle width in places. The surface is generally smooth gravel, and the route winds through forest with steady ascents and descents, creating a varied but manageable drive. Along the way, numerous side trails branch off from the main track, including connections to Loon Lake Road and several other smaller routes that invite further exploration. The main trail continues steadily onward, offering a mixture of shaded woodland stretches and open patches, until it eventually meets County 52, a paved road that marks the end of the route. Overall, it is a straightforward forest road with several side connections, making it useful for exploring the area while linking back to paved access at both ends. This trail does not provide dispersed or formal camping opportunities, nor are there amenities such as trash disposal or potable water. Cell service may be weak or unavailable at times, so visitors should plan accordingly.
