Trail Overview

Lumley-Glovers Trail is a classic Michigan two-track off-road bidirectional trail within the Traverse City Forest Management Unit. Located between Lumley Trail and 604, this trail is easily accessible. This trail surface consists mostly of dirt and sand and does get pretty tight throughout. You'll also go over some tree roots, which makes for a different type of surface to this track. This route weaves through a gorgeous section of trees within the forest. There are a couple of places along the route where the track narrows with some tighter trees, so be aware of that. Like most Michigan off-road trails, conditions are dependent on the weather. Recent rainfall can cause unfavorable conditions on the trail, including downed trees, mud holes, and washouts. Be prepared for one larger water/mud hole of note. The trail finishes at Lumley Trail. This is not a difficult trail, but it gives access to local hiking, hunting, and other recreation. Regardless of the length or conditions of this trail, it's a route worth checking out. As always, PLEASE TREAD LIGHTLY and be respectful of our public lands so future generations can have access to these trails!
