Trail Overview

A consistent grade to the top of the hill that will keep the load on your machine the whole time with an elevation gain of around 650 ft. The loose rock base means you should not follow too close to anyone you are riding with unless you want some small rock sliding back your way. When the weather is clear and you can get away from some trees you can look over the Central Mine area before you make your descent to Eagle Harbor.

Difficulty

The trail is uneven and can have washouts after heavy rain. The trail bed is mostly medium loose rock that was laid down for logging operations but makes it nice to travel. There is not much for water crossing, but some areas can be tight keeping your travel slow.

Rode this on my bike on a partly sunny day. Lots of rocks, some small puddles and not much sand. Very challenging for a bike and there are some very large rocks and ruts from the sxs. This is definitely not a beginner trail and very challenging for even a moderately advanced adventure rider. I enjoyed the climbs and challenges even though I never went past 3rd gear!
