Trail Overview

Kalkaska ORV Trail is a 50-inch trail designed to be ridden by 50-inch ATVs, dirt bikes, and quads. The general makeup of this trail is loose sand. There is deeper sand in fresh timber-cut areas where the sun has had a chance to bake the ground. Among Michigan's 50-inch trails, this particular loop has some of the best elevation changes. There are some great hill climbs and better views. There are a considerable number of whoops, paired with deep sand spots and steep hill climbs. This will create the largest obstacles on this trail, outside of fresh tree falls and other natural obstacles. This trail is a joy and a challenge to ride.

Too much vegetation overgrowth making many corners blind but challenging and fun.

Recently groomed trails but left a lot of loose debris and piles in the middle of the trails. Large rocks also everywhere which on a side by side would be no issue but if you’re on a bike could be problematic. Overall good riding conditions.
