Trail Overview
Starts on a firm, packed gravel base, easy and steady, wide enough for about a car and a half, with room to pass in most spots. Early on, you’re already tied into Snowmobile Trail 76, with directional arrows branching off the main route that hint at the larger network of backcountry paths waiting to be explored.
As you continue, the landscape opens into a unique mix of marshy lowlands and towering pines—quiet, open, and full of that northern backwoods feel. In wetter seasons, standing water can collect in the lower sections, adding a splash of challenge without making it technical.
Scattered along the route are multiple established campsites, some with fire rings already in place, making it a solid option for a slow overnight trip or a spontaneous stop. It’s an easy-going drive overall, but the setting keeps it interesting—gliding between cattail marsh edges and dense stands of pine where the trail disappears into the landscape
