Horseshoe Harbor Road

This is an out-and-back trail that is very narrow and not recommended for full-size rigs. Overall the trail has a firm base of gravel and solid bedrock. It starts off as a well-maintained road that narrows to an unmaintained 2-track with progressively more difficult trail features. In the wet season, you will encounter deep water holes, stream crossings, and some mud. One of the main features is the rock wall around the halfway point in the trail. This steep climb has a hard line to the left for those with locking diffs, and an easier line to the right. There is a recent trail washout that has been filled with a tree that requires some technical driving to navigate. There is potential for serious body damage if you fall off this tree into the washout. There are two intersecting trails that offer alternative exits but both are wet and muddy with a higher difficulty rating, so plan your route carefully.
