Trail Overview

Good Road is a trail running East and West through Manistee National Forest. The East side of the trail is a faster pace section that is sandy with incredible views of the surrounding forest. The west side of the trail is more technical. There is one substantial mud hole that is 12"- 20" deep. There is a bypass around both sides. One side is very muddy and holds water but, it is much shallower than the main mud hole. The other bypass is off camber and goes over tree roots up to 12". This bypass is also tight and will be difficult in a bigger rig. Throughout the rest of the trail, there is small rocks and roots that will need to be traversed. along with good views of the surrounding forested hills. Along the trail there are a few dispersed campsites. In some areas you may be able to pull in a cell signal.

Difficulty

Due to the big mud hole this could pose a potential issue for stock rigs. Both the bypasses seem well ridden and a 4x4 will be necessary.

Mud hole with small tree across it. Had a bypass that was quite muddy & to risky for me. May be passable for some people or when less wet out.
