FS 8746

FS 8746 is a unique, almost 1-mile Michigan bidirectional trail within the Manistee National Forest. Located between Cedar Creek Road from the west and North High Bridge Road from the east, this trail is easily accessible. Starting from the eastern end, you will start on mostly dirt road in a tighter area of the forest, so keep your eyes open. You'll twist and turn along this route as you come across some sections of lush trees and vegetation. Be sure to take it all in. About halfway along the trail, you will find a turn-off for FS 8729, so be sure to check that out as well if you have time. There really aren't any notable obstacles along this trail, but it is definitely a tight one that may end up giving you some Michigan pinstripes. No matter which end you finish this trail at, you will have access to other nearby trails, so be sure to check those out! Please TREAD LIGHTLY so future generations can enjoy these public spaces. Like most of Michigan off-road trails, conditions are dependent on the weather. Recent rainfall can cause unfavorable conditions on the trail, including downed trees, mud holes, and washouts. Come Prepared! This is not a difficult trail at all, but does contain a lot of fun and beauty. This trail also gives access to other great trails nearby. Regardless of the conditions or length of this trail, it's a fun route to check out!
