Trail Overview
FS 8050 is a classic 1.1-mile out-and-back Michigan two-track offroad trail within the Manistee National Forest. Located right off Marilla Road, this trail is easily accessible whether it's at the beginning or end of your adventure. This trail surface consists of a dirt and sand combination. This route weaves through a gorgeous section of thick trees within the forest that hang over your head from time to time as well. There really aren't any obstacles to note other than a few ruts that could have water in them, but it is still a beautiful one that you wouldn't want to miss. Like most Michigan offroad trails, conditions are dependent on the weather. Recent rainfall can cause unfavorable conditions on the trail, including downed trees, mud holes, and washouts. This is not a difficult trail, but it contains a lot of fun and gives access to local hiking, hunting, and other recreation. Regardless of the length or conditions of this trail, it's a route worth checking out. Make sure you stop where the trail ends on the onX map because if you were to continue, you would be going onto private property. Please respect the privacy of others and stop where other trails begin or turn around before then. As always, PLEASE TREAD LIGHTLY and be respectful of our public lands so future generations can have access to these trails. This trail is seasonal for OHV's, dirt bikes, and side-by-sides.
