Trail Overview

FS 7530 is a fun bidirectional trail within the Manistee National Forest. Located southeast of the town of Yuma and south of the town of Mesick, this trail is easily accessible. Most of the trail is a combination of dirt and sand. This trail is closed to off-road vehicles such as SxS, dirt bikes, ATVs, etc. Highway Legal Vehicle use only. Starting out on the east end, you'll begin in a dense portion of the forest with several sandy washes that will put you off camber. As you continue, the trail twists and turns and finishes at trail FS 7533, where there's a very large mud pit. There are a couple of different lines through this section, and it's completely optional, but the center line is the deepest and hardest to get through. Like most of Michigan trails, conditions are dependent on the weather. Recent rainfall can cause downed trees, washouts, & mud holes. Most of this trail is only wide enough for 1 vehicle with limited places to pass. As always, PLEASE TREAD LIGHTLY and be respectful of our public lands so future generations can have access to these trails! This is not a difficult trail, but it does offer some flexy sections, with the sandy washes creating some fun. There are several other great trails nearby to check out once you finish this route. Regardless of the length or conditions, this is a fantastic trail everyone should experience!
