FS 3112

FS 3112 is a two-track that travels through sections of dense woods and open clear cuts. The clear-cut sections provide some of the best views along the route, with long sightlines across the surrounding hills and wooded tree lines. These open areas offer a nice contrast to the tighter sections of forest and make this route a scenic drive through the area. The trail has a sand and dirt base, with some sections of loose sand. Most rigs should have little trouble navigating the route, but use caution in the looser sections. The route runs north to south, with the north end accessed from M-72. The south end connects with FS 1001, providing an opportunity to continue exploring the surrounding forest. Stay on the established trail and follow Tread Lightly and Leave No Trace principles to help protect the area.
