Trail Overview
Federal Forest Service Road 2225, also known as Booth Road, is a federally owned/ locally maintained, Level-2/ Level-3 forest road with a surface composition of dirt, sand, gravel, and native material. This route is currently open and in fair condition; it is not a DNR road (ORV use is subject to local government regulations) and connects Federal Forest Highway 13 (NF-13) with FS 2358 - Hilly Road. Difficulty
Dirt, gravel, sand, grass, and a rooted path, typically unmaintained after rain or snow, may give rise to shallow water crossings and obstacles under 12 inches on the trail, including small ledges. This route is a narrow "Two-Track" that is one vehicle in width.
History
Corner-Straits chain of lakes is a 477-acre chain of lakes that is located at the tri-county corner of Delta County, Michigan, Alger, and Schoolcraft counties in the Hiawatha National Forest. The chain consists of Skeels Lake, Corner Lake, Deep Lake, and Straits Lake. Other nearby lakes include Hugaboom Lake, Blue Lake, Ironjaw Lake, Ostrander Lake, Toms Lake, and Round Lake.
